As the water temp is cooling fast the fishing is really starting to pickup right now, Small Mouths are moving up shallow and getting pretty easy to find on the Main Lake Pea Gravel Points. We are swimming a 3.5" Green Pumpkin Tube in the 10 - 20 foot range on these main lake points. I have found that the fish are moving around on these points everyday. One day they will be right on the point and then the next day they will be on the roll-off's on these same points. You just have to move around until you find them or the bait fish. Swimming a grub is working as well with 4" single tail Zoom Fat Albert Grubs in Green Pumpkin. We are pretty much scrubbing the bottom with these baits looking for the bite, also when you get this bait hung on the bottom give it a hard jerk and pop it off the bottom and the strike will follow as the bait moves off..

Also as the water cools start looking for a good windy day a start throwing a spinnerbait and wiggle warts up into the shallows and around the boat docks and in the cedar trees, look for shaded areas around the dock and along the walk ways with cables. I throw the War Eagle 3/8 ounce spinnerbaits in Firecracker, Gold Shad, White and Chart and Table Rock Shad. Wiggle Warts in Green or Brown Crawfish and Watermelon will work well.

White Bass are showing up on the main lake points in the 30 to 40 foot range, just look for the larger groups of shad and the white bass will be there. You will know the place when your electronics will not read bottom because of all of the bait fish in there. Small 1/2 ounce Spoons in all white or all chart are really working well. Last week in one spot we boated over 70 white bass in less than 2 hours, size will be the only down side to this event. Most are just smaller whites but still a ton of fun and mixed in are a few larger females. Still nothing over at the new relief spillway the shad have not moved in at all. Fishing is really good you just have to move around to find the best spot, and when you do it will be worth everything else!

Trout Fishing is Great Family Fun!

Trout fishing is starting to change with slow generation of water from Table Rock again, the upper live bait areas (Fall Creek) and the lower area (Monkey Island) of Taneycomo is still best bet for producing some good fishing. Next best bet is to drag power bait or blowup night crawlers on a 2 pound leader from the Fall Creek to Short Creek and from Cooper Creek area to just past the Branson Landing area. Colors are White, Sunrise, Chartreuse, Orange, Yellow, Lemon Lime and Bubble Gum on the bottom or just suspended off the bottom. If you find a spot with fish stay there, fish are bunched up in groups right now.

Good Fishing Everyone
